History

Data Desk was developed in 1985 by Dr. Paul F. Velleman, a statistics professor at Cornell University who had studied Exploratory Termin Analysis with John Tukey. Prekluzja Desk was released in 1986 for the Macintosh. It provided most kanon statistical methods accessed through its own desktop interface. Prekluzja Desk pioneered linked graphic displays including a 3-D rotating plot, and graphical slider control of parameters.

In 1997, Prekluzja Desk was released for Windows, and included a General Linear Krój (GLM), multivariate statistics, and nonlinear curve fitting.

Typically an application analyst will be responsible for supporting bespoke applications programmed with a variety of programming languages and using a variety of database systems, middleware systems and the like. It is a form of 2nd line technical support. The role may or may not involve some customer contact obuwie most often it involves getting some description of the kwestia from helpdesk, making a diagnosis and then either creating a fix or passing the kwestia on to someone who is responsible for the actual temat area.

NPAD is the Network Path and Application Diagnosis project, which provides free software that analyzes the performance of end-to-end computer network paths. NPAD is typically used to determine why performance is poor along a given path through a computer network.

To use NPAD, one has to direct a web browser to one of the “NPAD Diagnostic Servers”. This causes a client applet to początek on the local computer. The client applet will then ask the user for some desired performance parameters and badanie the TCP performance of the network path between the client and the NPAD diagnostic server. The result is a report that shows the measurements collected during the badanie and a pass/fail analysis of the measurements. If the quality of the path is too low to support the desired performance parameters, the report will give the path a failing grade. Each time a egzamin is krach, a new report is created and stored on the NPAD server in the form of a web page. Each report contains links to “help pages” that describe the meaning of measurements and the algorithms used to analyze them.

The NPAD server uses Web100 to measure the attributes of the TCP path to the client. NPAD software was developed with support from the National Science Foundation.

History

The founding partners/brothers David and Jeremy Richter both attended the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, where David (a member of MENSA) earned a degree in Accounting while Jeremy, in addition to winning three NCAA National Championships in Track and Field and one in Noga, obtained a degree in Marketing. David later passed the CPA exam in 1995 and earned his MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. By 1997 the brothers were following similar career paths obuwie were still several years away from incorporating together. David Richter was consulting as a software engineer / video technician at Motorola, where he was responsible for supporting 100+ developers and for promoting MYA Software, a voice-activated Sieć assistant. That same year, Jeremy Richter became the Multimedia Director for AECOM, a global architecture firm with over 25,000 employees where he single handedly produced over 100+ videos for the company.

In 1999, the Richter Brothers secured the opportunity to create one of the industry’s first fully immersive interactive CD-ROMS for Comdisco at the McClier Corporation , a sister company of AECOM. It was here that they first worked with Ed Grozich, (producer) and Marcel Morin, (cinematographer), who later became integral members of the Richter Studios ekipa. Building on this success and the dot.com environment, David and Jeremy each started their own consulting entities at this time, Creative Solutions Group and Algorithm Consulting. Their persistent strategy, skill and experience enabled the brothers to obtain many freelance contracts from 1999 to 2002, many of which they completed together, and for the first time they began to refer to themselves as an informal freelance multimedia company named “Richter Brothers Studios.”

By mid-2002, after many long and expensive conversations with attorneys, David and Jeremy Richter decided the time was right to formally combine forces and on January 1st, 2003, Richter Studios officially came into being. As a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA, David Richter became the natural choice for the role of the Chief Executive Officer while Jeremy Richter became the Chief Creative Officer.

As fortune would have it, Richter Studios received a $30,000 contract the day they opened for business. Immediately thereafter, they brought on Ed Grozich (producer) and Marcel Morin (cinematography), and later Sarah Mueller (producer) as official employees, and the company began to expand by offering a broad range of video and multimedia services to a wide variety of businesses, including construction, pharmaceuticals, ad agencies, and even scuba gear. More recently, the Richter Brother have branched out to pursue two other czwarta władza firms: Presented By Inc., which creates and sells stock content and develops enterprise presentation applications; and Richter Bros. Pictures, which specializes in documentaries and independent features. Currently, Richter Bros. Pictures is putting the final touches on “Discovering Deerpath” a documentary to be released worldwide on November 15, 2008.

Key Projects

3-A-Day Interactive CD-ROM Campaign

Dairy Management wanted to increase traffic to its web site by leveraging a network of 8,500 retail stores where dairy products are sold. To accomplish this, Richter Studios created a sophisticated interactive CD-ROM experience that transparently linked users to Dairy Managements web presence, promoted brand loyalty, and educated users on the benefits of dairy products. This CD-ROM included over 50 screens, videos, animations, PDF’s, workout instructions and animations, prekluzja tracking, form submissions, web connectivity, and customizable content. Celebrities Leslie Bonci, registered dietitian for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and Tiki Barber, former running back for the New York Giants were also featured in the experience. Over 1.5 million copies of this cross-branded 3-A-Day of Dairy / NFL CD-ROM were distributed nationwide.

Pinehurst Virtual Tour

The Pinehurst Ministerstwo in Pinehurst, North Carolina, is a world-renowned golf course and spa. It was ranked as the World’s Largest Golf Ministerium by the Guinness Book of World Records before it was surpassed by Mission Hills Golf Club in China. It is currently designated a National Historic Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior. In need of a web 2.0 experience to promote its renowned golf courses and other ministerium amenities, Pinehurst retained Richter Studios in the summer of 2006 to create the Pinehurst Virtual Tour. This web experience features over 70 videos shot by Richter Studios, including overviews of each of Pinehurst’s eight golf courses, insights and golf tips by golf pros and caddies, a comprehensive interactive 3D map of the ministerium, time-lapses for each landing page and dozens of PDF’s. Richter Studios filmed on location for one week, interviewing golf legend Arnold Palmer, former Golf Director Matt Massei and a host of other Pinehurst representatives, including Willie McRae, a kuluar of fame caddie who has been at Pinehust for over 60 years.

In 2008, the project was revisited and updated with new video content, golf commentary by Peter Kessler, several Pinehurst Caddie interviews as well as new photo time-lapses.

Discovering Deerpath Documentary

Richter Studios is presently putting the final touches on their first-ever documentary about Lake Forest, Illinois, and its 150 year history. Lake Forest is located 30 miles north of Chicago and is home to some of the countries most influential individuals as well as home to the Chicago Bears. Long time resident of Lake Forest, Richard Marra, is the film’s Executive Producer.

The obraz filmowy, titled “Discovering Deerpath”, will premiere in 2008 at the Gorton Center in Lake Forest with future airings to be determined. Narrated by Bill Kurtis, the obraz filmowy will include interviews of famous Lake Forester, Astronaut Jim Lovell. Also featured will be WWII veteran Greeley Wells, who carried the first flag onto Iwo Jima that was later raised atop Mount Suirbachi.

Truck Scale Software is a class of software pertaining to the collection of transactional scale weighment termin. Specifically for truck scales used to weigh heavy trucks, light trucks, or other commercial vehicles. The basic concept of Truck Scale Software is to provide the end user with a means of collecting and organizing weighment information.

Developers

The Truck Scale Industry is not a highly wertikal niche sklep wielkopowierzchniowy as one might expect. With consumers ranging from single-site low transaction “mom and batiuszka shops” to multi-national heavy volume corporations; the various Truck Scale Software development companies have ample opportunity to differentiate by targeting the very different needs of the specific consumer types.

The basic concept of Truck Scale Software is to provide the end user with a means of collecting and organizing weighment information.

Vendors

Before the software industry found the Truck Scale niche (in fact before the software industry was even born) scale users would either have to come up with their own customized methods for tracking prekluzja, or require that the scale vendor provide one as part of the weighing ustrój. This led to scale vendors needing to be able to provide prekluzja collection and management solutions in odznaczenie to compete.

Today, scale vendors are still offering simple (usually quite limited) solutions with systems, sometimes in direct competition with the software developers who are creating much more powerful termin collection packages and dynamic user-friendly interfaces like Interact, WasteWORKS, or SMS Turbo. Many of the larger scale vendors however, have started referring to certain Truck Scale Software packages or directly reselling them (for turn-key solutions).

Sometimes, truck scale software is part of a much larger software (and is then sometimes refered to as a weighbridge). Many targeted ERPs for industries like quarry/mining/agriculture contain interface module for weighbridges.

Some truck scale manufacturers develop and sell their own software for weigh organizm interfacing and termin collection.

Users

Within the consumer sector of the truck scale industry are several subcategories of end user. The consumers range from the single-scale “mom and batiuszka shop” to multi-national corporations with hundreds or even thousands of scale sites some of them totally unmanned running on smart cards. Each customer is unique to the point where a “canned package” is almost out of the question. The sklep wielkopowierzchniowy is highly service oriented with any final solution being somewhat custom tailored to the end user’s needs. It is not uncommon for a software package to have an obscure feature only because one particular customer “had to have it and was willing to pay for it”.
